Unattended industrial VALiPOINT barcode reading equipment can be connected to a Claricom CLARiNET Network Control System to provide 100% packaging inspection and validation.
Should a barcode not be detected or pass content checks to confirm the correct packaging, outputs can be used to activate a warning beacon or siren. Relay contact outputs are also available from the VALiPOINT to control product reject mechanism or containment.
For production lines and industrial use these unattended scanners can be mounted in conveyors, such as for reading barcodes on the base of packaging. CLARiNET is compatible with a wide-range of barcode reading equipment including Accu-Sort, Datalogic and Erwin SICK, and can be used to validate most barcode types including point-of-sale barcodes (EAN / UPC), ITF and EAN128 barcodes.
Supplementary Barcodes
If packaging is not barcoded, additional barcodes can be small, inconspicuous linear or two-dimensional (2D) barcodes, used to identify packaging items and enable on-line electronic scanning for 100% validation. Click here for more information.
Approved by TESCO and used by suppliers to all major retailers, Claricom's Package Coding Management Systems are proven to reduce the scope for packaging and labelling errors, from primary package date coding to EAN128 transit packaging. Claricom customers using package barcode validation include Dairy Crest, Galen Pharmaceuticals, Hazlewood Foods, Northern Foods, Samworth Brothers and more.
